An exciting milestone as we proudly launched Virgin Australia’s new Business Class Summer 2025–26 menus, expertly crafted by our gategroup’s Culinary Excellence team in Oceania. This seasonal refresh celebrates the vibrant flavours, multicultural influences, and café-style dining culture that define Australia’s modern food landscape.
Taking flight from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, the menus will be served onboard through late May 2026, offering guests an elevated dining experience inspired by the best of contemporary Australian cuisine.
According to Executive Chef Steve Sweetman, who led the development, this three-cycle menu is the result of extensive culinary research and months of creative development:
“The fantastic new 3-cycle menu for Virgin Australia Summer 2025–26 flies from 12 November.
The menu is highly influenced by modern urban café and casual dining cultures in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, celebrating sustainable local produce and the trending flavours of multicultural Australia.”
With a continued focus on quality, seasonality and in-flight feasibility, our Culinary Excellence team explored emerging food trends, tested recipes extensively, and tailored each dish for optimal enjoyment at altitude. The result is a refreshed range that balances indulgence, comfort and innovation.
Guests travelling in Business Class can expect a thoughtfully curated selection of dishes across breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast introduces new additions such as sweet breads alongside a standout pancake stack featuring KitKat cream and Victorian strawberries, a playful, crowd-pleasing highlight created especially for the summer season.
Lunch and dinner menus embrace a bold Asian influence, reflecting Australia’s dynamic multicultural food scene. Signature dishes include:
Zesty marinated lemongrass chicken served with herbed rice and bok choy
A vibrant vegetable Japchae salad with marinated cucumber and miso-roasted sesame dressing
And for dessert lovers, a beautifully balanced spiced honey cake
Every element of the menu has been crafted to deliver freshness, flavour, and comfort, ensuring a memorable experience for guests travelling across the east coast network.
As Virgin Australia highlights broader developments across its retail program in Economy, our focus remains on celebrating the bespoke craftsmanship that has shaped the Business Class offering, a true collaboration rooted in creativity, culinary expertise, and an ongoing commitment to excellence.
We are delighted to continue our partnership with Virgin Australia and are grateful for their support and encouragement in sharing this exciting news.
Here’s to another successful season of exceptional dining in the sky.
