In May 2025, servair reached a new milestone in its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) journey by earning a Gold rating from EcoVadis, one of the world’s most trusted providers of business sustainability ratings. This recognition places servair among the top 5% of over 130,000 companies evaluated worldwide, underscoring its deep commitment to responsible business practices and continuous improvement in sustainability.

EcoVadis ratings evaluate companies across 21 criteria grouped into four key themes, Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The Gold medal represents significant progress in servair’s ESG performance and aligns closely with the company’s broader ambition to operate ethically and sustainably while exceeding the expectations of clients, partners, and stakeholders across the aviation and catering industries.

A collaborative effort behind the achievement
This remarkable accomplishment was the result of a collaborative effort spanning multiple disciplines within the organization. A multi-disciplinary working group took charge of completing the EcoVadis questionnaire, ensuring comprehensive, transparent, and detailed responses that reflected servair’s day-to-day commitment to ESG.

Crucially, close coordination with the gategroup ESG team enabled servair to align its responses with group-wide standards and strategies, resulting in stronger, more cohesive submissions. The engagement of leadership and management played an essential role by supporting the initiative, allocating necessary resources, and embedding sustainability into the corporate culture.

What the Gold rating means
Receiving the EcoVadis Gold rating reflects servair’s long-standing values and proactive steps toward a sustainable future. It acknowledges the consistent and structured efforts the company has made to embed ESG into its operations, governance, and supplier management. It also acts as a credible, independent validation of servair’s approach, enhancing trust and transparency with customers, partners, and regulators.

Importantly, this distinction demonstrates that servair is not only meeting current standards, but also setting a benchmark in the industry. Many of servair’s clients use EcoVadis as a global benchmark for ESG performance, making this recognition even more relevant and impactful in building long-term, responsible partnerships.

Looking ahead: A continuous journey
While the Gold rating is a significant achievement, servair views this as a milestone rather than a destination. The EcoVadis assessment is dynamic and evolves each year, presenting new challenges and expectations. servair is committed to maintaining and strengthening its performance, finalizing ongoing projects, and actively addressing improvement areas identified in the evaluation.

The path forward includes sustaining high standards, deepening collaboration across departments, and staying ahead of emerging ESG trends. servair remains steadfast in its mission to deliver operational excellence that is not only efficient and innovative, but also ethical, responsible, and future-ready.
A proud moment for all at servair and a strong affirmation that sustainability is not just a goal, it’s part of the company’s DNA.
