gategroup and Norwegian today announce the extension of their partnership

As part of the long-term agreement, gateretail and Gate Gourmet will continue providing onboard retail services and will remain the main last-mile handling partner for the Norway-based airline carrier.

ZURICH (30 March 2023)– gategroup, the global leader in airline catering and food services, and Norwegian, Norway’s largest airline, announced today a long-term extension to their services partnership agreement which will further strengthen their commercial relationship. The new agreement came into effect starting 1 January 2023.

Under the terms of the agreement, gategroup’s one-stop airline retail solutions provider gateretail will continue to be the operator of choice for Norwegian’s retail services onboard. Likewise, Gate Gourmet, the leading global provider of airline catering solutions and provisioning services for airlines, will remain Norwegian’s main last-mile handling partner in the Nordics.

The partnership, first established over a decade ago, has been instrumental in providing in-flight retail opportunities to Norwegian passengers. With the extension of the agreement, both companies aim to continue the collaboration and further strengthen their relationship in the coming years.
